The Manager, Ancillary Application Solutions is a leadership position responsible for the planning, implementation, optimization, and overall management of ancillary clinical applications within the organization. This includes management of hundreds of clinical software applications used in critical areas such as Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Lab. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, healthcare domain knowledge and leadership skills. Building productive relationships with software vendors and monitoring vendor performance are key elements of this role.
This role ensures that software application solutions and supporting infrastructure align with the organization's strategic goals, enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver exceptional end-user experiences. The manager will build relationships with executive and clinical leaders and lead a team of application analysts to collaborate with stakeholders and leaders including physicians and nurses. The Manager, Ancillary Applications will serve as the primary point of contact for all matters concerning ancillary applications. This role does not include oversight of EMR applications but will work closely with EMR Management.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning: Develop and execute a strategic vision for ancillary application solutions in partnership with executive leadership and key stakeholders. Assess current application landscape, identify gaps, and create actionable roadmaps for enhancements and transition to cloud.
Project Management: As needed, serve as Project Manager for the full project lifecycle of ancillary application initiatives, from requirements gathering and vendor selection to deployment and post-implementation review. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate a high-performing team of analysts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business operations, clinical teams, and external vendors. Facilitate transparent communication, manage expectations, and drive consensus on solution priorities.
Solution Design and Integration: Guide the selection, implementation and integration of ancillary applications to ensure seamless interoperability with core business and clinical platforms.
Operational Support and Optimization: Establish robust support processes for application maintenance, troubleshooting, and user training. Continually assess performance metrics and drive initiatives to maximize application efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party software vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure compliance with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all ancillary applications adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and data security best practices. Proactively address potential risks and foster a secure operating environment.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage annual budgets for ancillary applications, including staffing, licensing, and infrastructure costs. Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum value

The Manager, Ancillary Application Solutions is a leadership position responsible for the planning, implementation, optimization, and overall management of ancillary clinical applications within the organization. This includes management of hundreds of clinical software applications used in critical areas such as Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Lab. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, healthcare domain knowledge and leadership skills. Building productive relationships with software vendors and monitoring vendor performance are key elements of this role.
This role ensures that software application solutions and supporting infrastructure align with the organization's strategic goals, enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver exceptional end-user experiences. The manager will build relationships with executive and clinical leaders and lead a team of application analysts to collaborate with stakeholders and leaders including physicians and nurses. The Manager, Ancillary Applications will serve as the primary point of contact for all matters concerning ancillary applications. This role does not include oversight of EMR applications but will work closely with EMR Management.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning: Develop and execute a strategic vision for ancillary application solutions in partnership with executive leadership and key stakeholders. Assess current application landscape, identify gaps, and create actionable roadmaps for enhancements and transition to cloud.
Project Management: As needed, serve as Project Manager for the full project lifecycle of ancillary application initiatives, from requirements gathering and vendor selection to deployment and post-implementation review. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate a high-performing team of analysts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business operations, clinical teams, and external vendors. Facilitate transparent communication, manage expectations, and drive consensus on solution priorities.
Solution Design and Integration: Guide the selection, implementation and integration of ancillary applications to ensure seamless interoperability with core business and clinical platforms.
Operational Support and Optimization: Establish robust support processes for application maintenance, troubleshooting, and user training. Continually assess performance metrics and drive initiatives to maximize application efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party software vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure compliance with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all ancillary applications adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and data security best practices. Proactively address potential risks and foster a secure operating environment.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage annual budgets for ancillary applications, including staffing, licensing, and infrastructure costs. Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum value

* STARTING SALARY: The base salary for any position in Pay Schedule E is $61,538. Qualifications

What You'll Do

As a Manager on our Accounting Advisory Solutions (AAS) team, you'll lead engagements that support family office and investment clients, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and operating entities. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor, provide strategic accounting insight, and work directly with sophisticated clients who value excellence and precision. You'll manage day-to-day engagements, guide staff, and help drive process improvements while building the foundation for future leadership opportunities within the firm.
Client Accounting & Advisory
Manage client relationships and oversee accounting operations for family offices, investment partnerships, and related entities.
Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, tax basis, or cash basis accounting.
Provide insights to clients beyond this historical reporting by drawing conclusions from financial data
Lead complex close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting for investment portfolios and operating entities.
Provide insights into accounting for investment structures, capital allocations, and intercompany transactions.
Collaborate with internal teams-including tax, assurance, and CFO advisory-to deliver integrated client solutions.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes and technology adoption across accounting systems and reporting workflows.
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, coach, and develop associates and senior associates within the AAS team.
Manage project planning, staffing, and workflow to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Contribute to practice growth by mentoring team members, participating in business development efforts, and strengthening client relationships.
Model strong communication, accountability, and professionalism in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Strategic Initiatives & Process Innovation
Lead initiatives to improve accounting processes, workflows, and reporting efficiency for clients and the firm.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and approaches to enhance accuracy and streamline delivery.
Partner with internal teams to develop best practices, standardize procedures, and drive innovation across engagements.
Analyze complex financial and operational data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for clients.
Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, improve client satisfaction, and support the growth of the Accounting Advisory Solutions practice.
Who You Are
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master's preferred.
CPA license or active progress toward CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
4+ years of experience in public accounting, family office services, or a related industry role (Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.).
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and investment accounting principles.
Demonstrated experience with family office and investment clients, including private equity, hedge funds, and/or investment entities.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to adapt to new challenges and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with sophisticated clients.
Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise/Online or Sage.
Strong technology mindset with experience in adopting new systems and tools.
Preferred Experience
Experience with forensic accounting, investment reporting, or process improvement initiatives.
Prior experience in a consulting, advisory, or client-facing accounting role.
Demonstrated ability to navigate fast-paced, changing environments with professionalism and composure.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000-155,000*
*Salaries offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
