Position Summary
The Sr. Advanced SolutionArchitect (Workday) role at Light & Wonder (LNW) supports aspects which operate and enhance the Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent & Performance, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards functions of Workday in a global business environment.
In addition, the position will work with business leaders to collaborate, develop tactical and strategic HR operations plans. For day-to-day operations, the position will interact with the internal People Capability organization and external service providers to pursue multiple concurrent initiatives.
The Sr Advanced SolutionArchitect (Workday) will serve the business to understand business needs and help prioritize and lead the delivery team., engage with the business community, both internal and external, determine needs and identify opportunities for system improvements and maintain the business abreast of upcoming changes. The Sr. Advanced SolutionArchitect Technology will interact with internal COE's, Business Partners, cross-functional teams and external vendors daily to perform the job functionalities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as a system administrator for Workday Core HCM, Talent Management, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards and the go-to subject matter expert and provide technical leadership to People Capability Operations and Business teams in all aspects of the Workday HCM.
Adept in at least a few of the modules with strong hands-on exposure: Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation (Core & Advanced), Talent, Performance, Learning, Security, Reporting, etc.
Participate and/or lead specific projects while working in an environment where we value Knowledge, Openness and Transparency.
Manage the projects and deliverables of the People Capability Technology team.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and new functionality in areas related to the Workday product.
Work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders and others across the team to define requirements and develop a robust solution.
Work with functional teams for discovery and design sessions, as needed.
Designing, development, testing and deployment of Core HCM, Business Process configurations, Security and Reporting
Experience in designing and developing complex reports as required for some integrations as well as testing and support.
Facilitate communication and information flow between business partners and project teams to refine requirements and deliver on project goals against long-term Roadmap
Provide support to functional owners and end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues.
Researches and minimizes reported problems or pain points within HR platforms, drives resolution of issues, analyzes security issues, and recommends corrective and proactive action.
Establish and adhere to strong ADLC (Application development life-cycle practices and ensure they are followed for all projects. Introduce best practices in terms of Requirements gathering, business processing, and solution design.)
Partner with internal team members to develop long-term scalable solutions that help improve HR processes and streamline user experience. Build consensus around business processes, business rules, workflows, and design. Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written requirements.
Partner with vendors on their software and cloud roadmaps, upgrades, restoration of service or resolution of problems.
Create and maintain documentation on Functional Design Documents, and other materials.
Implement testing to meet business requirements - perform system testing, and handle User Acceptance testing securing sign-off.
Maintain reporting standards and coordinate reporting requirements across multiple Business Units.
Deliver training and create training materials as needed.
Assist in ensuring that all development efforts stay within budget and are completed by agreed deadlines.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS.
Qualifications:
7+ years professional experience in business systems analysis/engineering, solution design and deployment experience.
3 + years of advanced experience in Workday Functional Design and configuration development.
Excellent working knowledge of Core HCM, Business Process Configuration. Security Administration and Reporting
Good working knowledge of Core and Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, Absence Management,
Workday Phase 1 & Phase 2 implementations experience required with a good understanding of functional design and testing concepts and workday business process framework frameworks
Data conversion concepts and impacts on business processes.
Knowledge of all phases of system development lifecycle, including, new skew implementation and production support
Subject matter expert in the Software Development Lifecycle and operating systems for HCM
US and Global data privacy laws, GDPR and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
JIRA, ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience preferred.
Workday Certification in Recruitment (must be current) preferred
