**The Role**

Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Power Architect to own the end-to-end power and energy strategy across our Solid-State Drive (SSD) and System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms. This role will define the architectural vision, policies, and implementation strategies that ensure our products achieve industry-leading performance per watt, thermal efficiency, and predictable power behavior across client, enterprise, and hyperscale applications. As the company's “Power Tsar”, you will act as the single point of accountability for SSD power architecture - spanning SoC design, firmware, NAND management, and platform integration. You will partner closely with hardware, firmware, NAND, and system teams to innovate new methods of managing power without compromising responsiveness, quality of service, or reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Define the end-to-end power architecture for next-generation SSD SoCs, including policies for active, idle, and deep-sleep states.
Architect dynamic power management (DPM) strategies across firmware, SoC, and NAND subsystems.
Lead power-performance tradeoff analysis and establish architectural targets for performance-per-watt across workloads and use cases.
Work with SoC teams to define clock, voltage, and domain partitioning schemes, including fine-grained power gating and dynamic frequency scaling (DVFS).

- Proven experience communicating with non-technical business personnel and ability to interact and work in a team environment.
- Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to senior management both internal and external including SMEs.
- Ability to articulate and explain high-level architecture and design ideas to larger audiences and stakeholders.

- Technical professional experience building scalable enterprise applications with high availability and reliability. Strong technological affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail and the ability to estimate, design, and execute strategic goals.
