    - A Day in the Life The Mixer Operator assembles ingredients, portions, weighs, and formulates according to customer specifications. This position operates a computer-controlled mixing system producing dough products. Daily tasks include recording of ingredient lot numbers, weighing and combining product ingredients using a scale, physically putting ingredients into a 1,000-pound-capacity mixer, recording mix times, dough temperatures, moisture percentages and other data on paperwork, programming mixer settings using a function-key-style computer terminal, washing/rinsing/sanitizing equipment, mixing water and dry yeast to produce yeast slurry used in dough production, shoveling ice into large bins for use in dough mixing. Job duties and responsibilities Control the flow of allergens in the Sheeter room. Control accurate formulations, document lot numbers, raw dough temperatures, and dough moisture percentages. Make ice formula adjustments as necessary, communicating to the bakery lead if a product is not meeting its specification. Understands the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Takes a macro approach to the overall operation of the dough room. Controls amount of scrap in batches and lines Is the first line of defense for people entering the bakery without proper PPE or washing hands improperly. Maintains a clean work area by using brooms, mops, and dustpans. Performs other duties as assigned. Quality and Food Safety requirements Comply with all USDA, FDA, ODA regulations Understand and perform all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) Report all Food Safety concerns immediately to your Team Leader Be aware of all safety guidelines (including by not limited to: LO/TO, HazCom Chemical Handling, Confined Spaces, PPE), and maintain a safe working environment. Report to the Team Leader and or Supervisor any issues or suggestions to improve quality performance or the working environment. Minimum requirements Education Basic Math and Reading Skills necessary. Work Experience Food manufacturing experience is a plus. Experience working in a fast-paced team atmosphere is preferred. Internal candidates should be considered expert level by the Bakery Lead at the mixer position, indicating ability to operate and troubleshoot the position for an entire shift with consistent success. External candidates should have equivalent expertise and experience on similar or identical equipment. Physical Requirements Able to stand and walk on concrete for up to 12 hours. Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly (typically 150 times) throughout the workday. Body agility is emphasized, including ascending or descending stairs, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Hazard including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, and exposure to chemicals. Able to perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours with constant hand and wrist movement.     GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Production Control Batch Operator to support a 24/7 enterprise environment. This role requires working every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and selected holidays on a rotational basis, with holiday work occurring only a few times per year and paid at straight time. As a Production Control Batch Operator you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing batch workloads across mainframe and distributed systems, ensuring timely execution of scheduled jobs, identifying and resolving abends, escalating issues when SLAs may be at risk, and maintaining clear communication with technical teams. You will utilize BMC Control-M/EM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and enterprise monitoring tools to support production stability and operational continuity. Responsibilities * Manage, monitor, and analyze mainframe and distributed systems batch workloads using BMC Control-M/EM. * Identify and fix common abends and utilize JCL to resolve issues. * Communicate with programmers and support staff to address job failures and production issues. * Escalate issues to management when SLAs may be jeopardized. * Document all issues via ServiceNow Incidents and Incident Tasks. * Recognize and assess system alerts, shout messages, and monitoring notifications to determine severity and required action. * Utilize TSO/ISPF to analyze batch job status and investigate problems. * Identify potential server problems using Nagios, IP Monitor, and Tivoli. * Work every weekend and participate in rotational holiday coverage. Minimum Qualifications * Experience managing batch workload in a Production Control environment for both mainframe and distributed/client-server applications. * Mandatory experience with BMC Control-M/EM for managing batch jobs. * Strong knowledge of JCL for identifying and resolving abends. * Proficiency with TSO/ISPF for job analysis and troubleshooting. * Ability to evaluate alert/shout messages and follow escalation procedures when SLAs may be at risk. * Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to document issues accurately and concisely. * Expert-level capability in analyzing and managing batch workload on AJF for both mainframe and client-server environments. * Expert-level proficiency in identifying and fixing common abends using JCL. * Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Nagios, IP Monitor, Tivoli, and similar platforms. * Familiarity with BMC Control-M, Enterprise Manager, or comparable scheduling tools. * Experience with ServiceNow Incidents and Incident Tasks. * Ability to evaluate batch job alert and shout messages to determine severity and appropriate escalation steps.
