After completing the average 6-month apprenticeship period, you'll be eligible for a raise and move to a flat-rate pay structure with plenty of room to grow your hours and income. Job Description The Apprentice Technician supports the service team by performing minor repairs, routine maintenance, and hands-on learning under the guidance of an assigned Master Technician mentor. This role is designed to build the foundational skills and experience needed to advance into a flat-rate technician position. OEM training and on-the-job mentorship are provided. Duties and Responsibilities: Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders Assist with vehicle inspections to identify any additional service needs Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum Request guidance as needed and maintain an active learning mindset Qualifications Completion of an automotive technology program (e.g., UTI, WyoTech, or similar) preferred Ability to work full-time and maintain reliable attendance Previous shop or dealership experience Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Willingness to follow safety procedures and dealership guidelines Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements including background check, MVR, and drug screening. The "C" Level Technician is responsible for completing preventive maintenance and light line repairs independently with no technical supervision. This individual may also assist senior/master technicians with complex repairs.
