As a Customer Service Representative, which we call Document Specialists, you will play an important role in the smooth and friendly guest experience at our store. Job Description
The
Apprentice Service Technician
is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance on several brand vehicles as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform work as outlined on repair order with accuracy.
· Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
· Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
· Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is recommended.
· Notify service advisor if additional work outlined is needed or recommended.
· Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
· Document work performed.
· Road-test vehicles when required.
· Utilize the knowledge of your Mentor, Team Leader or Shop Foreman when necessary.
· Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
· Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
· Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
· Follow all company safety policies and procedures, report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years in an apprentice role (dealership experience).

* Oversee and ensure building, grounds and equipment are clean and well maintained. Manage the facility's waste disposal program and EPA program: ensure waste is disposed of according to appropriate regulations.
* Interact with facility management to ensure maintenance needs are met. Touring facility to ensure the condition of the facility is maintained.
* Ensure Red Prairie Time and Attendance is updated, correct and all required paperwork turned into the Human Resource Department to be processed.
* Ensure all maintenance schedules and procedures are followed.
* Ensure replacement parts, tools, and supplies are properly accounted for and stored in their proper location.
* Ensure that a minimum quantity of spare parts is on hand to minimize down time.
* Ensure the department has the proper equipment and qualified personnel to perform its functions.
* Maintain technical catalogs, drawings, blue prints, maintenance procedures, vendor contact listing, etc. are properly revised and available.
* Manage and monitor the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for the entire distribution center.
* Manage the Maintenance Department budget (P&L).
* Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
