Duties to include: Perform adult cardiac ultrasonography procedures and other complex invasive procedures to include: two-dimensional echo, M-mode, pulse wave and continuous wave Doppler, color flow Doppler, 3D, Strain, Exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echo studies. Assist physicians with acquiring images during TEE studies. And perform contrast and saline bubble studies as needed. Provide and maintain quality diagnostic adult echocardiographic exams. Contribute to preparation for IAC accreditation. Instruct Cardiology, Anesthesiology fellows, medical residents and other students on scanning techniques and proper equipment operation. Follow general policies and procedures in accordance with the regulations of UI Health Care, the College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, and UI Heart and Vascular Center. Assist with policy development and review. Function as a preceptor for orientation of new team members and students.
