Job Summary:

Possess computer skills appropriate to meet departmental needs in preparation of reports and correspondence.
Works effectively as a team member within the department and with other units to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration. Provides clinical supervision and instruction to students by maintaining and understanding of policies, procedures, and the clinical competency process (in order to evaluate student growth and competence in performing radiographic procedures).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reviews requisition for pertinent information, special requests, and correct procedures as ordered, and reviews physician order for procedure/test.
Assists front reception with patient information as needed.
Performs completion of documentation on patients and completes all required processes to assure no late charges.
Maintains medical supplies in all rooms and required stock items. Prepares and cleans rooms.
Maintains and prepares all equipment/instruments in exam rooms.
Other duties as consistent with this role.
Breast Sonographers at the Breast Care Center also act as Mammography Coordinators in EPIC/Radiant platform. This includes actively working the Status Report and reporting of all breast related exams including entering Birads, follow up recommendations and pathology and input of all documentation for MQSA compliance. This also includes Quality Assurance measures to improve patient care.

Education and Experience
Degree or certificate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education accredited sonography program strongly preferred
Certification in specialty area by the ARDMS within 12 months of graduation or cross training strongly preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
