Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

Schedule would be 10am to 6pm to include 1 to 2 weekends a month.
Opportunity Details:
Assists in the orientation of new hires, training of ultrasound students and training/supervision of students rotating from the School of Radiologic Technology.
Performs portable ultrasound exams on rotating basis.
Will be required to rotate through all tours inclusive of weekends.
Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Qualifications:
ARDMS certification in Ultrasonography required.
Associate Degree.
Satisfactory completion of a course in Diagnostic Ultrasound in an AMA approved school.
Proven Clinical competency in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Neonatal, and Vascular Ultrasound.
Responsible to maintain 30 CME credits within a 3-year rolling period for recertification annually.

· Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
· Documentation - Note performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting; phone preliminary reports in to doctor's offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist.
· Room Preparation - Clean, stock and prepare room daily.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Effective June 1, 2023: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound required for all new hires.
· For Radiology sites/affiliates with ACR accreditation, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required (within 6 months of graduation from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Program (CAAHEP), or within 18 months of graduation from a non-accredited program). If hired prior to September 1, 2022, a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is required by March 1, 2023.
· For Neurovascular & Vascular, the RDMS is not required.

What You Will Do: The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for OB/GYN and infertility ultrasounds utilizing various transducers, ultrasound imaging equipment, and Doppler technology. This position takes direction from the physicians regarding specific patient care and must discern normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to diagnostic imaging. This position reports to the Practice Administrator and will function in an independent fashion.
Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers.
Perform ultrasound procedures during embryo transfers, Doppler procedures, and 3D ultrasounds.
Utilize Tricare to import scans accurately and in a timely manner to patient EMR.
Recognize cross-sectional anatomy as demonstrated and differentiate normal/abnormal structures, providing an assessment concerning pathology viewed while scanning.
Provide education to patients about procedure performed and communicate information as appropriate to patient during visualization of anatomy.
Address concerns or abnormal findings with physician in a timely manner.
Communicate with physician, nurse practitioner, or nurse coordinator regarding ultrasound findings as noted and record them in EMR.
Organize daily work schedule and coordinate efficient patient care flow between procedures.
Responsible for appropriately marking superbill to charge patient for services provided.
Clean equipment and exam beds between each patient use using a germicidal solution.
Re-order equipment and supplies as needed and reconcile packing slips for business office.
Responsible for the daily coordination of U/S staffing to ensure adequate staffing at all offices.
Serve as a liaison between the U/S team and the physicians to assure high quality patient care.
Provide counseling to the U/S staff regarding issues and provide performance feedback.
Assist Practice Administrator with interviewing, hiring, counseling, and disciplinary/termination process of U/S staff.
Ensure the U/S team maintains their AIUM accreditation.

Located at 1421 3rd Avenue New York, NY 10028, Rosetta team of 30+ individuals provide imaging in CT, MRI, US, X-ray, Dexa, Mammography, and PET CT; all used for diagnostic imaging, and many used for image guided procedures in concert with Northwell's 250+ subspecialty trained Radiologists. Job Responsibility
Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.
Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table.
Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist/Clinician to include anatomical area of interest.
Performs US procedures to include: abdominal, breast, general, biopsies, etc.
Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the nearest Radiologist/Clinician.
Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.
Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Certified with ARDMS

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Ultrasound Tech (CV) - Woodhull.
In this role, the successful candidate performs all types of Echocardiography testing. Assists the physicians in the delivery of safe, age appropriate patient care during testing in the Echocardiography Lab. Works collaboratively with the RNs and MDs in a Health team forum to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care. Participates in unit/department/institution performance improvement activities that impact patient and service outcomes based on professional practice standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echo (both exercise and pharmacological) per department and management guidelines.
Captures digital cardiac images and performs measurements correctly, recognizing pathology andor customizes exam requiring contrast agent accordingly due to lack of image quality.
Performs intra-procedural transthoracic echocardiograms as ordered.
Performs transthoracic echocardiograms as ordered for patients enrolled in Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved clinical trials research protocols.
Transthoracic echocardiograms may be performed in the Echo Lab or done as a portable study at the bedside.
Responds to stat calls accordingly. Reports life threatening pathology to attending Physician or Fellow
Responsible for the preparation of echocardiogram procedure including but not limited to equipment, supplies, instruments and appropriate paperwork.
Participates in orientation of new employees as needed.
Responsible for daily quality control of equipment and escalates issues as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Diploma.
Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by CCI or ARDMS required at hire.
Current and valid BLS required.
Current and valid BLS certification.
Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, customer service, multitasking skills.
Basic computer skills.
Experience performing echocardiography with various manufacturer echo machines used in the Echo Lab.
Preferred Qualifications:
1- 2 years Experience performing echocardiograms preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
