External Candidates: Staff Sonographer: * One to two years experience within the hospital / acute care setting * Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN * Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred * Salary Range: $58.74 - $77.50 Hourly Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health): * Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting * Must maintain Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVT * Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric and Vascular Sonography. Staff Ultrasound Technologist * At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience - required * RDMS credential in one specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN) - required * Experience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging - strongly preferred Senior Ultrasound Technologist * 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience - required (Advancement into Senior job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health) * RDMS credential in Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT - required * Experience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging - strongly preferred General Requirements * BLS/CPR Certificate - required * Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program - strongly preferred * AAS or higher in Medical Sonography - preferred * RDMS (AB or OBGYN) - minimum requirement * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner * Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately * Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time * Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness * Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems. * Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
