Sonographer I - (250008S6) Description A Brief OverviewA Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) is a diagnostic medical professional whom provides diagnostic medical ultrasound exams consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards. The Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, maintaining patient workflow, technical aspects of equipment maintenance, and quality assessment (QA). The Sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field, pathologically process and advancements in ultrasound technology.
