Performs specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols. 2. Performs ultrasound procedures for Cardiac Ultrasound procedures and other specific areas as required. 3. Operates all types of Ultrasound equipment. Performs portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital to include the Operating Room and Intensive Care Units and off-site locations. Records images and makes hard copies (CD's) where applicable. 4. Uses Epic to schedule and complete exams as applicable. Completes preliminary reports in Epic. 5. Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college. 2. Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties. On call weekends every 5-6 week. Work at offsite locations/campus on a rotating schedule. Monday- Friday 8:30am-5pm.
