Practices safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
Follows universal precautions, infection control guidelines and sterile technique.
Complies with all governing regulations.
Stocks and cleans exam rooms/work areas.

Applies the professions code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience in Ultrasonography a minimum (will only accept new graduates from KPGA affiliated ultrasound program educational institutions).
Education
Graduate of AMA approved Ultrasonography Program.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

+ Performs a variety of complex specialized tasks utilizing ultrasonic high-frequency sound waves to detect but not limited to abnormalities including masses, abscesses, and stones
+ Assists physicians with biopsy procedures, guiding biopsy instruments using sonographic techniques
+ Utilizes accessory equipment such as transducers, multi-format cameras, printers, and PACS workstations
+ Prepares patients for procedures and explains procedures to patients
+ Reports changes in patient condition to medical staff
+ Provides an oral and written summary of preliminary findings to the radiologist
+ Evaluates the quality of sonograms and determines if additional sonograms or ultrasound procedures are indicated
+ Maintains patient records following facility policy and procedure
+ Performs ultrasound procedures, doppler vascular examinations, abdominal studies and colorflow ultrasound, OB-GYN procedures as required
+ Collaborates in quality control of equipment and filming and obtains service as required
+ Proficient in the performance of ultrasound procedures
+ Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
+ A certification from an accredited ultrasound school
+ One year of experience as an ultrasound technician preferred.
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine is looking for a Part time Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team. Job Description
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers primarily follicle, and transvaginal ultrasounds and first trimester OB scans.
Perform ultrasound Doppler procedures.
Perform 3D ultrasound procedures.
Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
Integrate diagnostic sonogram with patients' history, medical records, and laboratory results, and adapt to examinations.
Present and prepare preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for final report.
Consistently and accurately complete documentation pertinent to the ultrasound examinations.
Assist the physician and other team members in providing excellent patient care.
Maintain mature, professional, and effective working relationships with all physicians, other staff, and outside customers.
Explain the procedure to the patient, record medical history consider necessary and prepare patient for testing.
Responsible for appropriately marking super bill to charge patients for exams performed. Escort patient to check out desk to assure payment for services provided.
Ensure proper operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting equipment failures/calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintain related supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Conform to applicable HIPAA, billing compliance, Quality Assurance, and safety guidelines.
Participate in a team approach to patient care. Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate and timely patient care is provided and patient needs are met.
Related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Current American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification in OB/GYN preferred.
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification.
Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program.
At least One to Two years of experience in an OB/GYN setting; experience in fertility or women's health is strongly preferred but not required.
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Strong customer service background.
Proficiency in computers.
