The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II reports to the Pediatric Interventional Cardiac and Imaging Manager. Under indirect supervision, the Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II provides high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist in a professional manner that is consistent with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This role requires independent and efficient performance of clinical Pediatric Echo operations in the hospital and procedural setting, entering full preliminary reports, covering all MUSC Pediatric Echo Lab locations and shifts including call rotation. Responsibilities Perform pediatric echocardiograms with accuracy and attention to detail. Utilize GE Vivid 95 equipment and ensure proper data entry into the PACS system. Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality care to patients with complex heart conditions. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Echo Tech. Registered Pediatric Sonographer (ARDMS) with PE certification or CCI with RCCS certification is required at the time of start. BLS certification is required.
