EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed Sonographer.
EDUCATION:

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Position patient and select appropriate options to ensure best-case imaging.
Observe patient while in the ultrasound area for change in status and make appropriate intervention or contact primary care givers for instruction.
Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
Offer detailed explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions as appropriate.
Set up and assist in sonographic core biopsies, FNAs, and hysterosonograms/saline-infused sonograms.
Independently perform a wide range of sonographic examinations on adult and pediatric patients: abdominal, soft tissue, gynecological, renal, thyroid, scrotal, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams.
Operate and maintain equipment on a daily basis, maintaining logbooks with equipment performance data: schedule PM, perform QA, maintain records required for and participate in inspections.

Address any service calls and follow up as required or as directed, based on operational need.
