Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Coverage Needed: 3-4 days per week (4 days preferred)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to support a busy outpatient urology practice on a 26-week contract assignment. This role offers consistent weekday hours, no weekends or holidays, and free on-site parking. The technologist will perform a high daily scan volume and work closely with a collaborative clinical team.
Responsibilities
Perform 20-26 ultrasound exams per day, including:
Renal and bladder studies
Scrotal exams
Transabdominal prostate ultrasounds
Penile Doppler studies
Prostate biopsies
Gold marker placement for prostate cancer
Operate and maintain GE Logiq F8 ultrasound equipment
Upload and manage images using UroChart EMR (no PACS system)
Ensure accurate documentation and image quality
Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff
Deliver professional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Active ARDMS certification
Ability to manage a high-volume workflow efficiently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a urology setting
Familiarity with outpatient or procedural ultrasound environments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
- Operating ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
- Interpreting ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
- Detailing exam findings in the patient's medical record.
- Communicating with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist.
- Credential in vascular ultrasound technology.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures.

- The ability to work independently, as you will be the only technologist available at the site.

Education
Associate's Degree - Radiologic Technology required
Possess a registered vascular technologist (RVT) credential.
Must be certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as an RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), an RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) or obtain this credential within one year of employment.

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm with weekend, holiday and on call rotation

Responsibilities
Under direction of the Manager, Radiology Imaging Quality and Education or designee, perform diversified duties involving the clinical instruction to students and staff, involvement and development with department and system-wide educational programs, quality improvement and regulatory readiness activities and the clinical duties and responsibilities of an Imaging Technologist.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Health Care, Education or other related field is required or must be enrolled in a Bachelor degree program from an accredited college or university within 6 months of hire or promotion into position; degree must be completed within five (5) years.
Licensed/Registered in the area of Imaging Services (RT(R), RT(N), RDMS.) in Ultrasound; a multi-credentialed individual is preferred but not required.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint are required.
Two (2) years of directly related work experience is required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
