You will be working at the following locations: Minneapolis, Edina, Burnsville, Maplewood and Brooklyn Park, MN.** The Perinatal Sonographer in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Service is responsible for providing an advanced level of sonography services for the woman experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and her unborn baby. The Perinatal Sonographer works under the direction of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist (physician) through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the Maternal/Fetal Diagnosis/Concern and the gestational age of the pregnancy. Treats all patients in an age and culturally sensitive manner. Responsible for meeting the established practice standards for patient care and Perinatal Imaging as defined by AIUM and by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Standards of Care for this high-risk population. Takes anatomical images to demonstrate normal and abnormal fetal anatomy and gynecologic anatomy including abnormalities. Reports preliminary findings to the Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist. Participates in the education of healthcare providers.
