This means working closely with our emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for pets when they need it most. You'll deal with a variety of patient types and scans, so being comfortable adapting to new scenarios and willing to learn new techniques and think outside the box are all part of your day-to-day. You'll also assist in coordinating education opportunities and overall ultrasound training for your home and regional hospitals, inspire and motivate your fellow VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills, and be ready to pitch in at the hospital whenever and wherever needed. We are seeking a skilled EKG / Echo Technician to provide high-quality echocardiographic services. The successful candidate will work with new GE machines in a busy environment, performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms. Responsibilities Perform TTE (transthoracic echocardiograms) and TEE (transesophageal echocardiograms). Assist with echo-guided pericardiocentesis as needed. Conduct typical procedures including bubble studies, pre-ablation TEE, and post-TAVR TTEs. Efficiently transport echo machines to multiple areas/rooms within the hospital. The RVT/RVS will provide a written, preliminary technical worksheet of the examination to the ordering physician or attending RN. Will Perform other exams such as venous dopplers and exams to rule out pseudo-aneurysms. Experience with segmental pressures, fistulas, vein mapping, arterial duplex and venous with reflux exams. This is a challenging, fast-paced job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights, and weekend shifts. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Thus, the RVT/RVS, should be able to perform high quality, efficient scans. Proficiently performing lower extremity venous exams for patency and venous insufficiency studies for reflux.
