Department Administrative Assistant (Contract)

Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to Senior Directors and their staff. Support will include scheduling meetings, expense reporting, travel arrangements as needed Complete expense reports for the senior management team appropriately on a timely basis, including reconciliation of corporate credit statements. Making travel arrangements and detailed travel itineraries as needed. Help with on-boarding of new employees and contractors. Coordinate on-site events for Department needs (working with IT, Facilities, Catering Requests, and approval requests). Support will also include scheduling department meeting invitations, reserve conference rooms for both in-person and remote meetings. Handle correspondence from senior management to other managers, or other admins. Maintaining the current filing and database system and looking for ways to improve or streamline current systems. Works with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed. Arrange daily lunches through a 2nd party vendor for on-site employees and managing access for on-site visitors. Candidate will also support any department requests such as order supplies, approval requests, and other requests.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Personal Entertainment Business, the Specialist will play a key role in supporting the growth and execution of strategic business initiatives across the PEB team. This position bridges business development, brand development, and cross-functional collaboration-supporting market expansion efforts, partnerships and strategic projects that drive long-term business impact.
This is an position suited for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational/project management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across business and marketing functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
* Support the development, evaluation, and execution of business development initiatives aligned with PEB growth priorities.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Planning, Marketing, Creator, Regional and Legal teams to ensure cohesive strategies and implementation.
* Serve as a lead in relationship management with internal stakeholders across regions and business units and external partners (where assigned)
* Track and analyze performance of ongoing business initiatives
* Conduct market and competitive research to support the evaluation of new partnership opportunities, emerging trends, and innovation areas.
* Prepare and refine business proposals, partner presentations, and legal NDAs to support decision-making and strategic alignment.
* Perform and own key team operational tasks essential to strategy and business development functions. Including but not limited to taking meeting minutes, call scheduling, legal/contract trafficking, among others.
Brand Development Support
* Partner with the Brand Development team on strategic campaigns and partnership activations that strengthen Sony Audio's market presence.
* Contribute to developing brand-aligned go-to-market approaches for initiatives such as 360 VME, emerging creator platforms, and more.
* Assist in the coordination and delivery of co-marketing programs, asset development, and brand storytelling across channels.
Senior Director & Team Support
* Support the Senior Director in driving organizational initiatives and operational alignment across the PEB leadership team.
* Assist in preparing agendas, meeting recaps, business updates, reports, and presentations for executive leadership.
* Contribute to overall team efficiency through coordination of key workflows, meetings, and communications.
* Provide administrative support to the team and leadership on budget management across verticals of business operations
* Monitor and report on key activities and milestones on a weekly and monthly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, Communications, or a related field.

* Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

to join the Corp DX (Digital Transformation)) group based in San Diego, CA or Culver City, CA. The Digital Transformation Office, under Sony Corporation, drives the delivery of highly impactful program solutions worldwide, across the different Sony Group of Companies.
In this critically important role, you will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic opportunities that align with our long-term business goals.
