As Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sorenson Communications, Jason Dunn is responsible for the daily operations of Sorenson Relay, Sorenson Interpreting, and CaptionCall, which include directing all initiatives and organizational policies and developing strategies to attain short- and long-term financial and operational goals.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Dunn served as COO of CaptionCall for two years and as vice president of operations for CaptionCall for seven years. In that position, he was responsible for hiring, training and managing thousands of employees to ensure the company delivered the nation’s highest-quality communication service for the hard-of-hearing. He also formed, developed, and grew operational, training, and customer support teams that consistently improved on quality and operational standards.

Previously, as vice president of operations for Sorenson Communications, Mr. Dunn oversaw all Sorenson Video Relay Services® (SVRS®), Sorenson IP Relay® (SIPRelay®), and SVRS® Canada operations. He built the operational team and developed operational standards that propelled Sorenson to become the industry leader. Under his supervision, operational performance and quality of service consistently improved.

Before joining Sorenson Communications, Mr. Dunn worked in the compliance and operational management departments for American Airlines, in Salt Lake City. There, he oversaw compliance and supervised customer service employees, fleet service clerks and mechanics while assisting with the daily operational activities of the airline.

Mr. Dunn holds a degree in business administration from the University of Utah. He is a recipient of Utah Business Magazine’s “Forty Under 40” award and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the College of Eastern Utah. He currently serves as a member of Utah State University Eastern’s Regional Advisory Board.
