CARES is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, Medicaid-funded mental health crisis line for children, adolescents, and adult Illinois residents. The nature of the work associated with the Crisis Call Center is to provide resources to callers who are experiencing a suicidal, self-harming, aggressive, and/or psychotic episode and need therapeutic support.
Line Agents are responsible for taking incoming crisis calls, completing an initial clinical assessment, and determining the next level of service. The Line Agent is responsible for dispatching referrals in a timely manner, making subsequent follow-up calls as needed, and ensuring the quality and integrity of data entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Administration: Have the ability to multitask duties and systems, which include but are not limited to: answering crisis calls, completing initial clinical assessments, identifying outcomes and follow-up services, utilizing spreadsheets, and navigating computer-based data entry programs.
Communication: Effective and consistent written and verbal communication is required both internally and externally. Provide clear, accurate, and concise narratives concerning client behaviors that are reported to stakeholders and funders. Effective listening and strong verbal communication skills are also required.
Computer Operations: Line Agents are required to have the ability to proficiently view and enter data, properly open and close spreadsheets, folders, drives, and programs, minimize and maximize documents, open and close browsers, and develop a workflow to navigate between programs. Minimally type 40 wpm, understand keyboard functions, and have basic troubleshooting knowledge.
HIPAA: Adhere to HIPAA laws and regulations. Remote office space must meet HIPAA standards.
Quality Improvement: Participate in the agency's ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Lineworker must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.

Job responsibilities to include:

Work will include the use of hand and power tools; digging holes by hand for pole installation; climbing ladders, poles, embankments and towers; working at heights above 35' on poles and in aerial lifts; setting grounds; working with live circuits; and working in trenches, manholes and confined spaces.
Sets and installs underground structures, locates, pulls, removes, splices or terminates cables.
Installs and replaces equipment, meters and streetlights.
Operates hydraulic equipment including: drills, boom truck, digger, pole tamper, hydraulic jack and bucket truck once certified.
Operates lift equipment such as aerial lifts and line truck booms.
Operates forklift to load and unload work materials and supplies.
Travels by vehicle, motor boat or off-road utility vehicle (OUV) to access job sites
May drive a Class A vehicle (i.e. bucket truck and line truck) to and from the job site. May drive a company pickup truck or passenger vehicle to job sites and work locations, meetings and training and will may use vehicle to go to vendor locations and pick up or deliver supplies and materials.
Conducts daily vehicle inspections
Journeyworker Lineworker may provide back-up relief in temporary absence of foreman; direct work to other crewmembers and act as a leader.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Adhere to OSHA safety standards and be attentive to safety issues on jobsite, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Layout and recovery of cables, geophones, and related seismic equipment across all terrains and in all weathers, as directed by Head Linesman and Senior Observer/Observer.

Work Environment:
The Recording Crew Line Worker works in remote isolated outdoor environments, subject to extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow and sudden changes in temperatures. Terrain may be uneven, slippery, inclined or unstable. Work may also be performed along highways, cross over roads, and involve water crossings. Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes and vibration are expected and there is potential for exposure to corrosive battery acid.
The Recording Crew Line Worker works 7 days per week, with long hours and extensive overtime, but no guaranteed number of hours per week. Schedules fluctuate and shifts may be allocated on a day or night basis due to weather conditions and operational needs. Extensive travel from job to job is required with lodging provided in motels near the jobsite.

Responsibilities will be assigned based on the successful candidate's level of training and experience but will include types of work involved with the installation, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities, which includes substations. Safety is a top priority of South Central Power Company. Therefore, the successful candidate will have demonstrated safe work practices, exceptional communication skills, and be committed to playing an active role in safety.
The awarded candidate will be required to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for scheduled or unscheduled assignments and reside within 30 miles of the Lancaster office.
