As a Sorter, you will be responsible for sorting parts that weigh between 2-10lbs. You will also be expected to put parts away in their target places, pushing a cart full of parts to the storage area for parts. Our third party logistics client is hiring reliable Sorters to work in one of their busy facilities. This position is responsible for safely sorting incoming and outgoing material and ensuring accurate inventory information. It is a great opportunity to develop important job skills and build a foundation for you future.
Pay Rate: $16.00 / hour
Shifts: Mon - Fri, overtime on Saturday as needed
6am-2:30pm
(overtime included, work until the work in finished for the day)

What you’ll do:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be required to communicate with others and regularly climb stairs. On shift employee is constantly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking, and lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.

Top responsibilities:

• Incumbent must have good dexterity and visual ability to detect and manually extract foreign material from product on an electronically paced conveyor line.

• Must possess basic math skills and communication skills.

• Incumbents must be able to communicate quality issues and to management and QA personnel.

• Duties consist of repetitive tasks that are closely related and involve few choices. Incumbents are expected to identify problems and assist in solving.

You’re good at:

• Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position.

• Incumbent must be able to work in noisy environment, around equipment, in the exposure to elements and in dust or heights.

• Must be available to work overtime
