Job Description
FSSI is looking for a full-time Mail Sorter to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for sorting of mail from the mail insert machine and assisting operators with mail production.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transfer sealed envelopes from insert machine to mail trays.
Ensure all envelopes are stamped and sealed.
Confirm mailing addresses and micro numbers are visible in envelope window.
Place filled mail trays onto pallets.
Sort at more than one machine at a time.
Assist machine operators with preparation work prior to start of each job.
Assist machine operators with the clearing of stock and materials at the end of each job.
Flexibility in work schedule, frequently 10 or more hours per day, is required on a recurring basis.
Assist the department with additional work, as needed and/or requested.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Donation Sorter reports to the Community Development Manager, and will help process and count Gift-in-kind. The Gift-in-kind must be received and sorted, counted and counts put on the inventory sheet that will be entered in the database. Greet all donors cheerfully and thank them for their donation and tell them how it helps
Give donors their tax receipt and let donors know about the current campaigns
Sort all bric-a-brac, glassware, collectibles, dishes, antiques, small kitchen appliances and clothing.
Enters information on inventory sheet along with GIK slip to be processed
Separates valuables for special pricing and places in the office

Work alongside Community Development team at either center during events including Holidays that are event days

WORK SHIFT AND HOURS:

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retrieve rolling racks from receiving login and other related work stations
Pre-sort through packages on rolling racks and align packages to be placed in the inventory area
Properly put away packages into inventory by utilizing a hand-held scanning device
Effectively locate packages and scan packages throughout departments
Organize racks from previous shift and keep racks neatly organized with labels facing out
Flexes regularly within all functions of the Package Distribution Department for ultimate team success
Place empty racks in proper locations with correct labels and materials
Sweep and remove any debris from the work area
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations
Assure safety standards are being utilized, and complies with all company, local, state, and federal guidelines
Attend all Compliance Training Classes and abide by Compliance Policy and Procedure
Exude exemplary customer service and consistently maintain a positive attitude
Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined and assigned by Management
REQUIREMENTS:
