Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus a $2.00 Peak Pay Bonus Incentive! Shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Soil Production employee performs tasks involved in receiving and preparation of soiled healthcare linens for the laundering process. The Soil Production employee follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. The employee in this role must exhibit accountability and flexibility in a fast paced, goal oriented, strenuous production environment. Physical requirements include repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift including; repeated bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, pushing/pulling and lifting as well as excessive standing. Work days are typically 5 day workweeks, Monday through Friday. Work hours may be adjusted due to workloads. Must be, or become, Peco Sorter Certified Line Speed is 155 Bird weight can be anywhere from 9 1/2 pounds - 11 1/2 pounds. Sorter on maestro stand makes sure the birds are open from the back up ventor to the opener, and that the viscera has been removed along with looking for other defects. Final sorters assess every fourth bird for fecal and other defects. Sorters rotate and are responsible, depending on rotation, for using a knife to remove drums with synovitis and major bruising, and wings with bruising and other defects. The persons in the evis department who use scissors are on the back up ventor/opener and don't have to be sorter certified. Everyone from the maestro down on the line is sorter certified.
