What You'll Do
Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the distribution center
Check loads to make sure they are secure
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
Coordinate trailers moves within yard management system
Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS
Performs waste, recyclable, and yard trash pickup at garbage disposal areas of commercial, residential, and other designated locations. Performs curbside pickup in residential areas. Uses pitchforks, shovels, and similar hand tools to pick up general refuse, garbage, recyclables, trash, and yard trash from curbside and other areas as instructed. Rides with truck to disposal locations and/or recycling centers; assists truck operator and disposal personnel in off-loading. Assists truck driver in fueling and checking all fluid levels of assigned truck, including spares; cleans out trucks, including cab interior, daily, upon route completion. Performs related work as required.

Open up bags at the breakout table and send linen up the belt.
The primary cart mover (the attendant closest to the soil cart) brings the empty soil cart away from the belt, puts a new cart in the area, and takes the empty cart and pushes it to the cart area.
The bag breaker attendant breaks open the bags.
The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks:
One attendant sorts large pieces consisting of bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets, and thermals.
The second attendant sorts the second largest pieces - underpants, patient gowns, and fitted sheets.
The third attendant will handle all the rest of the pieces, such as bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and scrubs.
The last stage of the soil room process is hoist and weigh or staging. The attendant pulls the full slings away as they fill up, puts an empty sling in, weighs the full one, records the information, and hangs it.
Adhere to quality standards in terms of soil sorting and cart cleaning.
Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
Good analytical skills to be able to determine number of carts required for orders.
1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry
