Duties & Essential Job Functions Open customer returned soil bags (bags weigh ~45 lbs.), discard plastic, spread product out to allow for visibility on soil belt. Pre-sort classifications as required. Production standard are 45 bags or 2000 lbs. opened per hour for each operator. Operators located on the work platform float between multiple positions moving up and down the belt sorting into the appropriate bins or slots. Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse. Other Functions and Responsibilities Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary. Decisions the incumbent must seek approval for prior to execution Anything unusual or outside of normal operations Decisions the incumbent may decide and execute without prior approval If an attendant sees something in the soil bag other than regular items, they must dispose of it appropriately. Call maintenance for repair of equipment if something is not working correctly.
