Weissman succeeded Kerry Trainor as SoundCloud's new CEO - effective January 1, 2021.

Since joining the company in 2017, Weissman has been a key leader in driving SoundCloud’s growth. He joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President in 2019. He has been instrumental in expanding SoundCloud as the principal architect of some of the company’s key strategic initiatives including its music licensing efforts, its U.S. ad sales partnership with Pandora, and the acquisition and integration of artist services company, Repost Network.

Wilson serves as Chief Operating and Financial Officer for SoundCloud overseeing all finance and operations, including workplace, and people functions.

Wilson joined SoundCloud from First Look Media where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer overseeing the media company’ operations, sales & distribution, HR, product and engineering, finance, strategic planning and business development.

He also held prior CFO roles at AwesomenessTV in Los Angeles, RLJ Entertainment/AcornTV and divisional CFO and worldwide operations Controller at Discovery Communications.

Wilson sits on the boards of two non-profit organizations that support the education and uplifting of diverse voices in media including The Gotham/Independent Film Project (IFP) and Women of Color Unite (WOCU).

Lauren Wirtzer-Seawood is in charge of guiding the company’s artist development, industry relations, and brand marketing strategies. Most recently, Wirtzer-Seawood served as President of independent music distribution platform UnitedMasters, which recently landed a $50m Series B investment led by Apple.

Prior to UnitedMasters, Wirtzer-Seawood was the Head of Music Partnerships at Instagram, where she led a team responsible for enabling artists to connect with fans via Instagram’s suite of tools. There, she worked on initiatives for artists such as Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

Wirtzer-Seawood also served as the Head of Digital at Beyoncé’s entertainment and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, where she was instrumental in the surprise launch of the singer’s self-titled visual album.

Wirtzer-Seawood’s career spans positions at Zynga where she implemented entertainment, brand, and celebrity partnerships and at Def Jam Enterprise managing brands and artists, as well as developed and incorporated content marketing across digital platforms.

A 20-year music industry veteran, Wirtzer-Seawood serves as the Chair of the board of the Music Business Association (MusicBiz) and has been named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business and featured on Billboard’s Power 100 and Women in Music.
