Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING As a Member of the Software Configuration Management team, on the Joint Strike Fighter Training & Simulation program, your mission is to maintain the integrity and traceability of the COTS software released by the program to its customers. THE WORK The team operates in a software-focused environment where a variety of software tools are employed ranging from MS Office, to the Atlassian suite to EPDM. Our techs conduct work on equipment on-site, in various types of facilities, responding to service requests. They install, repair, and maintain equipment, advise customers on the correct use of equipment and devices, and conduct testing of equipment and devices, and implement improvements. Must be Open to Using Basic and Specialized Hand Tools Repair electrical and mechanical equipment using testers and all necessary hand tools. Remove damaged/defected parts and repair/replace them using hand tools Understand the importance of Preventative Maintenance Maintain clear and concise records for services provided, preventative maintenance schedules, parts inventory, installation/upgrades and troubleshooting techniques. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment (mechanical or electronic) to ensure desired field performance.
