Hours: 7PM to 7AM. Three 12 hour shifts (36-hours per week), with rotating weekends. About the Unit: Telemetry/Stroke Unit at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. The Mission Critical Emergency Fuel Driver is an on-call Class A or B driver with HazMat and Tanker endorsements whose job is to deliver fuel to destinations across the U.S. to provide exceptional customer service in challenging times. Previous events have been in response to blizzard, ice storms, tornadoes, hurricanes and widespread power outages. DUTIES Drives fuel truck and/or truck and tanker (class A) to pick up and deliver fuel products as required in varying conditions. Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skill in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading/unloading areas. Abides by all company, DOT, State and Federal transportation safety regulations.
