The Facilities Department has openings for the position of Evening Custodian, to start immediately. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities - Services and works closely with other Facilities employees.     Job Title: Custodian Supervisor: Principal, Assistant, and/or Building Manager Wage Category: Non-Exempt Terms of Employment: 240 days Qualifications: High School Diploma Must be in sufficiently good enough physical condition to perform physical duties such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning, lifting, etc. Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable Job Summary: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean place in which to learn, play, and develop. Essential Duties: Sweeps and vacuums floors daily Mops all classrooms and hallways when needed Dusts furniture daily Cleans corridors after school each day Cleans janitorial closets properly on a daily basis and stocks restrooms appropriately Mops bathroom floors, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily Scrubs, hoses down, and spray foam disinfects bathrooms at least 2 times per week Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year, and more frequently if necessary Keeps waste baskets empty and clean Maintain cleanliness of outside of building Reports to the supervisor any acts of vandalism, any evidence of deliberate littering, and any behavior that is demeaning to the custodian/maid Supervisor may assign other duties as needed Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
