    Job Description RN/LPN Staff Nurse Department: Urgent Care About the Role: The RN/LPN Staff Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Providing compassionate support and education to patients and their families is essential to promote recovery and well-being. Ultimately, the role aims to enhance patient outcomes through skilled nursing interventions and adherence to best practices and safety standards. Minimum Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in acute care or specialized nursing units. Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to work flexible shifts. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Document all nursing care and patient interactions accurately in medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care plans. Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care. Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols. Skills: The RN/LPN Staff Nurse utilizes clinical assessment skills daily to evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate interventions. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with healthcare team members and educating patients and families. Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to safety protocols ensures patient well-being. Familiarity with electronic health records facilitates accurate documentation and information sharing. Preferred skills such as advanced certifications and experience with specialized care enhance the nurse's ability to manage complex patient needs and respond effectively in emergency situations.
