The summer season includes a thorough inspection of all lift components, tower work, and grip and chair maintenance. Work on hydraulic systems, braking systems, rigging, gasoline and diesel engines up to 900 Hp, as well as low voltage safety circuits. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two years of mechanical or electrical experience. Detachable lift experience is a plus. Must be able to work under timelines and pressure. Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree or sixty (60) or more college-level credits is preferred. Two or more years of successful experience in a school setting and work with special needs students is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of disabilities, laws, teaching principles and methods, and instructional programming is helpful. Previous supervisory experience helpful. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and Second Step Basic Specialized Care, and maintained Advanced Specialized Care Certification annually. Trained in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Other Skills and Abilities: An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community is essential. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form is required.
