Essential Responsibilities:
Provide in-person response with the Stabilization Clinician to clients/family who are experiencing a Mental Health Crisis.
Collaborate in the development of a Person-Centered Safety and Support Plan in collaboration with the client and family.
Provide skills coaching for the client and family.
Provide short-term in-home and community-based crisis stabilization to clients and families over a 30-day timeframe.
Collaborate with Thrive's Mobil Crisis Team to immediately begin stabilization to prevent hospitalization.
Provide Parenting Education and support as needed.
Provide support to families for any issues related to basic needs, insurance coverage, etc. as needed.
Collaborate with staff in the Youth & Family unit to provide additional supports to families to prevent hospitalization.
Complete all relevant documentation as required by Thrive.
Attend weekly Youth & Family team meetings.
Attend weekly Crisis Behavioral Health Team meetings.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule including weekends and evenings. An on-call stipend will be provided.
In-person response may be required for on-call.
Complete and obtain Safety Care Certification (provided by Thrive)
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in mental health, psychology, social work or other related field required.
Minimum of 2-year experience in the human services field working with adults, children, adolescents, and families.
Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
Working knowledge of community resources and systems of care preferred.
Certifications, Licenses Requirements:
Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards , or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
Training and certification in (SOAR) SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery preferred but not required.

Home to URI Men's and Women's Basketball programs, the Ryan Center also features the URI football teams' locker room, along with athletic department offices, training rooms, players' lounges and a souvenir store. The venue seats 8,000 for basketball, and over 6,300 for concerts, family shows, lectures and other community events.The Ryan Center was designed and built to meet all ADA specifications to accommodate our guests with disabilities. Located in Kingston, the Center draws on an audience of over 1.4 million people within a 40-mile radius.

PROGRAMMING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing Programs - ISPs
Assists Director in completing the ISP process
Assists Director in collecting annual reports from professionals in other disciplines (speech and language, physical therapy, or director of psychological services) in a timely manner
Models teaching programs from goals and objectives and develops system for collecting data and monitoring progress for each area
REQUIREMENTS:
Some college in Human Services
One year working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
