Lauren A. De Simon Johnson joined NRT in February 2005 as senior vice president of human resources for the largest residential real estate brokerage company in the United States. More recently, De Simon Johnson assumed an expanded leadership role over the newly formed Independent Contractor Relations function, which will provide support to NRT's management in areas such as licensing, commission processing, vendor management, risk management and legal compliance. Reporting to NRT's President and CEO, De Simon Johnson is an integral member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for driving the company's overall human capital strategy and ensuring its alignment with the company's strategic business objectives. She also continues to oversee the human resources function across NRT's family of companies. A long time human resources executive with Cendant Corporation, NRT's former parent company, De Simon Johnson previously served as executive vice president of human resources for Cendant Timeshare Resort Group, Inc. based in Orlando, Fla. In this role, she was responsible for all human resources activities and strategic initiatives for a $1.6 billion vacation ownership and resort development company with more than 13,000 employees. Prior to her time with Cendant Timeshare Resort Group, Inc., De Simon Johnson held senior HR leadership roles with Cendant's corporate headquarters, as well as with its car rental group, Avis/Budget, and FISO Madison Financial, Inc. subsidiaries. Prior to her career with Cendant, she also held human resources management positions at Corporate Express, Inc.; Meldisco, A Footstar Company; the Superior Court of New Jersey; and the NYC law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy. De Simon Johnson received her bachelor's degree from Douglass College of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., and her M.A. in Organizational Behavior from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J. Most recently, she authored a chapter in the C-level business intelligence book, Inside the Minds: Calculating ROI for HR Expenditures, published by Aspatore Books. De Simon Johnson currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
