We offer flexible scheduling as well as an incentivized compensation call structure depending on the needs of the physician. Weekday call requirement starts at 5 P.M. with a post call day off.Compensation package includes:• Flexible schedule options with both 4 (80% compensation/benefits package) and 5-day schedules available. Position reports to the Executive Director of Engineering/Facilities & EVS or designee. Perform grounds clean-up efforts on hospital grounds and other Southcoast properties as needed on a routine basis; assist in the oversight/cleaning of the parking garage(s), landscaping contractor, replace/monitor plantings on grounds as needed. Job Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: As a member of the Room Service team, the individual will be tasked to assist and deliver in a pleasant, friendly and timely manner patient specific high-quality food and exemplary service to patients, guests, and staff. To communicate on the telephone in an efficient, pleasant and respectful manner, even during periods of high call volume, in order to assist patients and guests with their meal service selections. At peak time, a call center operator answers the phone and immediately enters a complete order into the Computrition system. A call center operator's average call time will range between 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. 3. To review therapeutic diet orders and modify the patient's order to meet the diet order parameters while attempting to honor the patient's request and be aesthetically pleasing. 4. To speak with the patient, family member(s) or nurse to explain needed modifications regarding meal orders. To communicate changes and if possible find a satisfactory substitution. To assure a nutritionally balanced meal that meets the dietary restrictions of the patient's diet order. 5. Communicate on the phone or in person to patients, staff, and guests according to department scripting policy and procedures. 6. To communicate patient diet order issues to the Call Center Operator Lead, Diet Tech or clinical dietitian when policy mandates. 7. The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Mass General Brigham (MGB) provides expert, compassionate care to trauma and emergency surgery patients. With a multidisciplinary team of outstanding physicians and surgeons, nurses, and support staff, the division is dedicated to ensuring patients receive the best treatments-24 hours a day, seven days a week-at every step along their journey from injury to recovery.
Established in 2005 as a joint initiative of Harvard Medical School (HMS) and the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), CSPH's mission is to advance the science of surgical care delivery by studying effectiveness, equity, and value at the health system and population levels, to inform policy, and to provide support for faculty and trainees committed to excellence in surgical health services research (HSR). CSPH's expertise in HSR also informs its work in addressing the burden of surgical disease in lower and middle income countries and resource-poor settings.
Supporting a team of health services/outcomes and clinical researchers, the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery seeks a Research Project Manager to provide high-quality project management for key research projects including the Division's health services research program within the Center for Surgery and Public Health. Research priority areas will include but not be limited to Healthcare Disparities; Patient Oriented Policy and Practice (PPOPP); Comparative Effectiveness; Appropriateness of Care; Quantitative and Qualitative Research in HSR; Global Surgery/Implementation Science; and Education and Training, among other initiatives.
Qualifications
The candidate will effectively collaborate with Trauma/Acute Care Surgery faculty, fellows and study teams to facilitate project goals and coordinate all phases of the research process. They will assist in the creation of appropriate infrastructure necessary to support the Division's growing research program.
The role will provide overall strategic, day-to-day management to ensure critical deliverables adhere to project timelines. Key responsibilities include: organization of study start-up (writing, literature searches, electronic data collection tools, broad study organization), oversight of the development of study protocols and data management, coordination of all meetings and preparation of documents and reports to the Institutional Review Board; progress reports; dissemination of findings including manuscript and presentation development.
The Project Manager will support grantmanship activities including developing grant proposals and coordinating various elements involved in proposal submissions to third-party entities. This position will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities.
This position will lead data collection and management efforts and, working with CSPH's biostatistical team. The position may be asked to provide some programming support using SAS and/or STATA.
This position will also support various components of the Division's clinical trials program. The candidate will review, evaluate and make verbal or written reports and perform special projects and related duties as identified by the Division Chief.
The Project Manager must be capable of leveraging project management techniques to effectively manage and track small to large-scale projects across multi-disciplinary teams and collaborations. This individual must be able ensure a high level of satisfaction with a focus on responsiveness, resolution of problem situations, and successful completion of deliverables. Candidate must demonstrate ability to proactively identify and improve projects and processes.

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required.

Experience
Research Related Experience 5-7 years required, and Supervisory Experience 1-2 years preferred.
* A minimum of 2-4 years of prior research experience is preferred.
* Prior experience with manuscript and grant writing and preparation.
* Familiarity/working knowledge of databases such as Excel, Access, REDCap is essential.

* Microscopic Examination: Selects and submits tissue sections for microscopic analysis.
* Instruction & Training: Provides formal and informal instruction to pathology residents, PA students, and medical students on gross descriptions, dissection, and sampling of surgical pathology and frozen section specimens.
* Tissue Collection: Assists in the collection and submission of tissue for controls, teaching, research, and tissue/tumor banking.
* Frozen Section Processing: Evaluates tissue for frozen sectioning, cuts and stains sections, and prepares samples for telepathology review.
* Specimen Storage Management: Oversees specimen storage within the surgical pathology area, maintains records, and disposes of specimens as needed.
* Postmortem Examinations: Ensures all proper legal authorizations are obtained before performing postmortem examinations.

Qualifications:
* Master's Degree from NAACLS accredited and AAPA approved Pathologists' Assistant Training Program required prior to date of hire.
* PA(ASCP) certification required. Recent graduates must obtain PA(ASCP) certification within 1 calendar year from date of training program completion.
* Two or more years of experience highly desired with preference in academic setting.

Responsibilities
* Under direction of the Medical Director of cardiac cath lab or designee, perform duties in evaluation, intra procedure assisting, and management of patients with valvular heart disease or coronary artery disease in the inpatient setting under the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts governing Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant practice.
* Evaluate and care for cardiac cath lab or valvular heart disease patients in the In-Patient/Out-Patient setting.
* Assume immediate coordination of assigned personnel and activities.
Qualifications
* Physician Assistant: Bachelors degree in a related field is needed. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is needed. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is needed.
* Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is needed. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is needed. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is needed.
* Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is needed.
* Duties require the ability to care for critically ill adult patients with a wide range of medical problems.
* Position responsibilities require the maturity, self-confidence, and ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the Attending Physician.
* Minimum of one year of cardiovascular experience as an APP is required
* Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire.
* Must be qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards.
* Eligible for state and federal controlled substances registration.
* ACLS and BLS required
