Overview:
On-the-Job Training: Completion of 2000 hours with the support and guidance of an experienced MA coach (paid).
Supplemental Coursework: Completion of 410 hours of online coursework (unpaid).

What You'll Do:
Maintain and update patient medical records, including medical history, current status, vital signs, treatments, and medications. Review and update immunization records.
Prepare for patient visits by reviewing files, ensuring necessary reports are present, and providing updates to the Provider team.
Work with Providers to ensure efficient schedules and continuity of care. Discuss patients scheduled for the day, including pre-visit preparation.
Prepare and maintain patient exam rooms, ensuring appropriate supplies and sterilized equipment are available.
Prepare patients for examinations, explain medical treatment procedures, and provide limited education and coaching within scope. Instruct patients about medication and possible allergic reactions.
Respond to patients' questions and concerns in person and via email. Direct inquiries outside of scope to the appropriate person.
Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries. Anticipate Providers' needs and manage their requests.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete screenings, and review patient data per protocol. Follow up on test results as directed by healthcare providers and document them in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Prepare and administer medication as directed by a physician.

Job Summary

Incumbent will also have a junior or senior class standing in high school. Job Summary:
The Substance Use Disorder Professional role is part of the Behavioral Health and Counseling team that supports ETS' mission through serving as the primary care team coordinator for their assigned patients.

What you will do
Properly use dispensing and barcoding technology to ensure accurate medication selection, stocking, and order fulfillment for all patient orders. Ensure accuracy of prescription and patient data entered in various systems. Review all relevant clinical information and clarifies with pharmacist/prescriber as appropriate. Works with payers to resolve insurance-related issues, assists with financial assistance programs as needed.
Deliver excellent customer service to health care providers and patients, by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests with pharmacist supervision, and responding to messages in the Epic In Basket and Epic Secure Chat.
Provide support to pharmacists by answering telephone calls and responding to messages. Will include research of basic clinical questions and drug information and drug compatibility questions.
Will undertake clinical functions under pharmacist supervision up to level of education including but not limited to the offering and provision of counseling to patients on medications and administration of vaccinations.
Manipulate and dispense hazardous and non-hazardous medications per department procedure.

Assist in the planning, implementation, and process management of technological initiatives and pharmacy workflow improvements.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Community Health Aide is responsible for providing acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical health care to Village residents under the direction of the medical doctors in Anchorage and according to the CHA/P Manual. The CHA Trainee (CHA-T) level is a training classification for those who do not yet qualify as CHA I. The CHA I, II, III, IV and Practitioner are expected to operate within the guidelines of the CHA/P Manual and their level of training and the scope of practice consistent with their level of training. Job Summary

What You'll Do:
Maintain and update patient medical records, including medical history, current status, vital signs, treatments, and medications. Review and update immunization records.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Community Health Aide is responsible for providing acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical health care to Village residents under the direction of the medical doctors in Anchorage and according to the CHA/P Manual. The CHA Trainee (CHA-T) level is a training classification for those who do not yet qualify as CHA I. The CHA I, II, III, IV and Practitioner are expected to operate within the guidelines of the CHA/P Manual and their level of training and the scope of practice consistent with their level of training. CHA II, III, IV and Practitioner are also expected to act within the limits of their Standing Orders (SO) when applicable.
This position has five (5) level designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experience and training. Progression between job levels is based on qualifications/certifications and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments and certifications.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:
Qualifications for a CHA-T:
* High School diploma; OR GED.
* Meets all requirements and expectations of the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures for the CHA-T
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
Additional Qualifications for CHA I: Meets all requirements of CHA Trainee in addition to the following:
* Successful completion of the mathematic/TABE Test at the 6th Grade level.
* Successful completion of Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) OR Emergency Medical Technician. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
* Successful completion of the Session I [one (1)] of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better.
* In accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) it is required to enroll as individual rendering providers with Alaska Medicaid.
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
Additional Qualifications for CHA II: Meets all requirements of CHA I in addition to the following:
* Successful completion of the Session II [two (2)] of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better.
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
Additional Qualifications for CHA III: Meets all requirements of CHA II in addition to the following:
* Successful completion of the Session III [three (3)] of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better.
* Prepare for and obtain additional CHA III Medical Standing Orders (MSOs) from their consulting Physician or designee.
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
Additional Qualifications for CHA IV: Meets all requirements of CHA III in addition to the following:
* Successful completion of the Session IV [four (4)] of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better.
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
Additional Qualifications for CHA Practitioner: Meets all requirements of CHA IV in addition to the following:
* Current certification as a Practitioner by the CHA Program Certification Board (CHAPCB).
* Meet all expectations outlined in the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures.
