In this role, you'll support therapists in delivering high-quality care, guide patients through exercises and functional activities, and contribute to positive patient outcomes in a professional, patient-centered environment. ________________________________________________________________________________ GENERAL SUMMARY ???? What You'll Do Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and directives. Guide and encourage patients through manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises, daily-living activities, and the use of supportive devices (crutches, canes, prostheses). Provide patient education on wellness, growth and development, and therapeutic regimens. Document patient care accurately in medical and departmental records. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection-control and safety protocols. Monitor treatment trends, patient progress, and production objectives to support clinic efficiency. Contribute to the clinic's reputation by taking ownership of patient care and exploring opportunities to enhance services. ________________________________________ ???? Essential Functions Identify patient care issues and provide recommendations to support physical therapist effectiveness. Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and review of therapy histories. Perform therapeutic procedures under the direction of physical therapists. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and JCAHO regulations. Stay current with professional development through continuing education, publications, and professional networks.
