About the Role: The Controller is a new position and plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting. This position is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, ultimately driving profitability and growth. The Controller will lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. By analyzing financial data and trends, the Controller will provide insights that inform strategic decision-making at the executive level. The end result of this role is to maintain the financial health of the organization while supporting its long-term objectives. This position is located conveniently in New London in our beautiful newly renovated office space. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles. A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within a finance environment. Experience within a not-for-profit environment strongly preferred, will consider other environments. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance. CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification. Experience with financial software and ERP systems. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis to support financial planning. Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and best practices. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency and strategic initiatives. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities, which are essential for interpreting complex financial data and making informed decisions. Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools is crucial for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Responsibilities include: Manages all referrals for admission and networks with referral sources for proper treatment placement and planning. Completes insurance verification and identifies payment resources prior to admission, as well as assesses client eligibility for benefits. Fields referrals from all sources and provides information according to SCADD protocols. Responds to referral calls, emails, website and social media inquiries as well as other points of origin and directs them appropriately. Provides brief screenings that encompass ASAM criteria, presenting problems in substance abuse and/or mental health as well as any extenuating medical issues. Consults with proper SCADD medical or clinical personnel for complex referrals. Fields crisis calls to respond urgently or emergently as needed. Assists with arranging transportation when needed. As deemed necessary per program, ensures required authorizations from appropriate payors are secured and documented in the electronic medical record. Coordinate and track admissions to maximize bed capacity utilization. Attend program team meetings as necessary to maintain productive communication Compiles data on referrals, occupancy and daily census for DMHAS and Administration Office. Maintain networking relationships with referral sources to sustain capacity across the organization. Will require weekend shifts. (Case Manager) The Community Support Worker is responsible for partnering with families to identify strengths and needs of the child/family and advocate for appropriate support and services using the wraparound values and process. They will work with other providers to develop a Plan of Care that reflects the family's values and culture. This position is located within our Bridgeport office but may require working out of our Norwalk location as needed and traveling within lower Fairfield and New Haven County. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following Essential Functions: Provide services to about 11-13 families to identify strengths and needs. Assists the family in developing and convening Child and Family Team Meetings (CFT) of traditional and non-traditional providers for the purpose of developing a Plan of Care (POC) that reflects the family's values and culture. Works in conjunction with DCF to receive referrals and collaborates on transition plans for Community Support Services Gather and submit data required by DCF in a timely manner Maintains a Community Support Record on all families receiving Community Support Services in keeping with the wraparound process (family driven, strength-based, culturally responsive) and outcome focused documentation. Provides case management services to families, coordinates child and family teaming activities assuring that families are connected to community resources. Offers an array of services/supports to the families to enhance protective factors and collaborates with community resources and providers. SCADD's Lebanon Pines program offers long term treatment for men with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders on a 56-acre campus in the southeastern region on Connecticut. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Ensures compliance with all state and local health, safety, and fire codes, including life safety codes. Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all clients, staff and visitors. Coordinates with all members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care that is consistent and timely and to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes. Ensures provision of client education, individually and in group settings on relevant medical subjects including but not limited to MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) and overdose prevention. Develops quality initiatives to improve the performance of the program and client experience and track performance and implementations with concrete data and processes informed by the policy. Reviews program budgets regularly; monitors and responds to any lines that are over or under budget. Ensures that utilization review protocols are followed to maximize reimbursement of services. Makes recommendations to the Executive team about new initiatives and services as required to meet community needs Serves as backup to provide direct care services as necessary. Monitors proper utilization review protocol to ensure reimbursement of services. The Bi-Lingual Care Coordinator is responsible for providing care to children with complex emotional and/or behavioral health challenges using the Wraparound process. This position requires a bachelor's degree in human services, fluency in Spanish and English, a valid driver's license and auto transportation to external locations. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following Essential Functions: Provide Care Coordination services to 10-12 children/youth with complex emotional and/or behavioral health needs. Maintains fidelity to the Wraparound process when working with all assigned families. Develops a crisis plan for each family served that guides the family to appropriate assistance, supports and services in the event of a family mental health crisis. Assists the family with developing and convening monthly Child and Family Team Meetings (CFT) of traditional and non-traditional providers with the purpose of developing a Plan of Care (POC) that is culturally appropriate. Ensures that plans of care and crisis plans are implemented appropriately and adapted by the CFT as needed to meet the multiple and changing needs of the child and family. Formulate clinical interventions to promote stability and ensure client engagement and investment. Provide counseling for family or significant others as appropriate.
