Founded in Orlando in 1972, Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation (SSMC) is an independent, employee-owned surveying and mapping, subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and geographic information systems (GIS) professional services firm serving the Southeast.
Darryll E. DeMarsh (pictured right) joins the SSMC team in 1998 to establish and expand the Subsurface Utilities Engineering Division.
President and Owner of Engineering & Land Systems, Brian Garvey P.E., joined the SSMC team in August of 2000 and began our GIS service line.
Opened in 2009, SSMC’s Jacksonville, FL office continues to service Northeast Florida, District Two for FDOT as well as Georgia, under the management of Robert W. Gardner, PSM, LEED GA.
Opened in June of 2011, SSMC’s Tavares office is able to extend our full range of services throughout Central Florida and surrounding areas.
After two years in Pinellas Park, the decision was made to move the office within Tampa’s city limits in 2013.
2017 was a year of progress and transition for SSMC, our clients, and our employees.
