This position creates and modifies technical drawings, schematics, and 2D/3D models from sketches, hardline drawings, other electronic formats, and “red line drawings” using CAD software. The CAD Technician III will work closely with the project management team to ensure that the deliverables produced are per the project specifications and requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the Licensed Surveyor and Mapper in applying Land Surveying principles and methods.
Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and practices.
Perform boundary research, calculation, and analysis.
Perform deed research and deed plotting.
Prepare legal descriptions, survey drawings, and plats.
Provide technical office support.
Perform quality control checks of drawings and deliverables.
Ensure schedules and production objections are met.
Ensure the accuracy of reports by data review and resolving discrepancies internally for assigned projects.
Plan, prioritize, and organize effectively; and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and clients.
Organize, multi-task, prioritize, and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet, establish, and prioritize.
Collect, organize, disseminate, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
May perform light office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, and scanning.
May carry out other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Design or equivalent.
Minimum 3+ years of CAD experience.
Certified Survey Technician Certification Level III+, SIT certification is a plus.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and FDOT surveying.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

Job DescriptionDescriptionWe're looking for an Airfield Construction Inspector to join our Merritt Island team! This candidate will be responsible for performing complex quality assurance inspection activities to assure that the construction contractor is fulfilling the obligations of the construction contract and project schedule, while working in compliance with the accepted quality control plan and the accepted health and safety plan. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lead Airfield Construction Inspector for the assigned project.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures followed, and materials used, conform to specifications.
Daily documentation of contractor's work efforts. Prepare and submit daily reports
Project coordination with Contractor's field personnel, maintain job site relations.
Ensure labor standards and compliance through interviews and surveys of contractor personnel
Ensure onsite project inspector files are accurate and up to date. Project inspector files include records/correspondence received or issued by the CO, change orders/documents related thereto, RFIs, all records relating to shop drawings, samples, applicable handbooks, and daily reports
Review construction documentation which includes RFIs, submittals, payment requests, schedule, change orders, and claims
Facilitate and observe independent quality assurance testing and sampling services
Facilitate project closeout
What you'll need
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable field related to the overall project tasking; may substitute ten (10) years of experience as an airfield construction inspector in lieu of the degree requirements
Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g., conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers or an independent private company) within the last five (5) years; Contractor's self-developed programs will not fulfill this requirement
Registered as an Airfield Asphalt Pavement Inspector or Airfield Pavement QC Manager through the Airfield Asphalt Pavement Certification Program: at ***************************
Certified as an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required
Ability to pass background investigations sufficient to access to Department of Defense installations
Position requires minimum of 40 hours a week with possibility of overtime (Hourly).

This position creates and modifies technical drawings, schematics, and 2D/3D models from sketches, hardline drawings, other electronic formats, and “red line drawings” using CAD software. The CAD Technician III will work closely with the project management team to ensure that the deliverables produced are per the project specifications and requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the Licensed Surveyor and Mapper in applying Land Surveying principles and methods.
Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and practices.
Perform boundary research, calculation, and analysis.
Perform deed research and deed plotting.
Prepare legal descriptions, survey drawings, and plats.
Provide technical office support.
Perform quality control checks of drawings and deliverables.
Ensure schedules and production objections are met.
Ensure the accuracy of reports by data review and resolving discrepancies internally for assigned projects.
Plan, prioritize, and organize effectively; and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and clients.
Organize, multi-task, prioritize, and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet, establish, and prioritize.
Collect, organize, disseminate, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
May perform light office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, and scanning.
May carry out other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Design or equivalent.
Minimum 3+ years of CAD experience.
Certified Survey Technician Certification Level III+, SIT certification is a plus.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and FDOT surveying.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

Must occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
The job requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a computer workstation.
