Northpoint Christian School history
Northpoint Christian School company history timeline
Serious discussions ensued, and later in 1972 thirty-six acres at the corner of Holmes and Tulane in Memphis, Tennessee were purchased for the site of the school.
Construction was set to begin on May 1, 1973.
The first graduating class of 1974 consisted of twenty-four students.
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredited SBEC in 1982.
The new school opened its doors in September 1988 with 600 students.
Since 2004, the campus has expanded, adding lighted tennis courts as a result of the generosity of the Homer Skelton Foundation together with a band suite, and an academic facility with 12 classrooms.
On November 21, 2016, the high school gym floor was dedicated in honor of David H. Manley.
In 2018, updates to our facility began.
Beginning with the class of 2019, community service hours were required as a part of the graduation requirements.
