PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibility of the machine(s) to ensure that quality products are achieved at a consistent rate of speed in accordance with machine standards and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up machine in a consistent manner as instructed in the training program, maintain the procedures with regard to proper set up unless the training is changed and properly recorded with regard to procedure
Follows all checklist procedures fully
Keeps all parts in their proper place and recommend replacement or repair of worn parts by filling out the designated form
Observes safety procedures at all times
Operates tray machines as directed to meet production requirements
Responsible for all equipment, tools assigned, and notify the supervisor of any additional tools or equipment that would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
Follows all instructions issued on the work jacket and advise the supervisor of any incorrect or non-recorded information that is necessary for proper set-up and operation
Adjusts to and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
Keeps all necessary supplies available to the operator to ensure an efficient operation
Responsible for the quality of the product, packaging, labeling, and stocking
Responsible for the quality of product manufactured concerning correct viscosity, color, shading, contrast, straining, and ink used
Sees that pallet loads are accurately counted, tagged, and entered to the production report
Follows the stacking arrangement, number of layers, and height requirement for each case size from the Pallet Stacking Manual
Once a pallet is full, calls the stock puller on the paging system to move the pallet
When the pallet is moved, places a new pallet down by the machine
Calculates scrap rate to assure job stays within allowable limits
Communicates well with other team members
Wears appropriate PPE for the task and the area.
Welcomes updates and improvements to processes and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
Performs work in a manner that keeps down time to a minimum
Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S systems
Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Use situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions
May be asked to help with duties in other areas or departments
A Tray Operator-Level 2 should be able to do set-ups without help and should be running the machine at or near the 110% efficiency level.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience operating a tray machine, preferably in a folding carton environment. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software. Must have mechanical ability and skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read a tape measure, and have an understanding of both standard and metric measuring systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently is required to climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lifts/moves 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during the shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team member successfully performing the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to a dusty atmosphere with loud noise, which may require both eye and ear protection in some areas. Moving mechanical parts will also be exposed; safety guards have been put in place for the safety of all Team members but during set up, if a machine must be broken down and reassembled to complete the next job, questions regarding such operation should be directed to your supervisor as they arise. Performing construction, reconditioning, installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing of wayside signal devices.
Loading and unloading supplies, installing underground and overhead cables including trenching and hand digging, and working around or operating heavy machinery.
Working on or around highway grade crossings, climbing signal masts, bridges, and ladders, and handling cables and wires for electrical connections.
Using various power and non-power tools, including shovels, picks, axes, sledgehammers, micrometers, voltmeters, amp meters, computer-based systems, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, tape measures, drills, and power saws.
Operating equipment (backhoes, trenchers, boom trucks, and directional boring machines).

Once you have reached the maximum pay rate and based on your performance, you are eligible to receive a retention bonus of up to $2,000.00 each year.
When you work in excess of 40 hours within the pay period, you are eligible for overtime which is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.

This is an entry level position which will give an individual the opportunity to gain on-the-job training for multiple departments within the Company and the aviation industry. What you will do
Under general supervision, performs installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings and personal analysis. Works with "Prime" electrical contractors as required. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.
How you will do it
Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements. Lays out electrical controls installation to provide lowest total installed cost.
Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.
May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
Determines and validates final termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system (i.e. chillers, boilers, roof top units, etc.).
Checks out wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments as needed (i.e. volt meters, handheld testers, etc.).
Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.
Completes paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to JCI Engineering on changes and keeps as-built drawings current.
Resolve job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalates concerns to management as required.
Communicates with the customer as necessary upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
