PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Packer Technician will support the Operator or Apprentice in safely setting up, maintaining, and operating the machine(s) to acquire quality product at the desired target speed of each run. They will also assist with defining problem statements when issues arise. The Packer Technician will feed product into the gluer as well as packing finished product into cases. Oversees efficient operation of the auto-packer machine.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting the auto-packer, will assist the gluer operator in some portions of the gluer set-up
Setup, maintain, and operate pack assist, case sealer, labeler, and automation (Some equipment is specific to work location)
Responsible for setting up, replenishing tape, and troubleshooting the case sealer
Assists in quality sampling of product
Will interface with an electronic control panel and keep pace with a high-speed piece of equipment
Effectively utilize any machine downtime (not including approved breaks) by assisting with set-up or performing other tasks associated with maintaining a clean work environment or as otherwise instructed by a supervisor
Communicates well with other team members
Wears appropriate PPE for the task and the area.
Welcomes updates and improvements to processes and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
Performs work in a manner that keeps down time to a minimum

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibility of the machine(s) to ensure that quality products are achieved at a consistent rate of speed in accordance with machine standards and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Adjusts to and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation
Keeps all necessary supplies available to the operator to ensure an efficient operation
Responsible for the quality of the product, packaging, labeling, and stocking
Responsible for the quality of product manufactured concerning correct viscosity, color, shading, contrast, straining, and ink used
Sees that pallet loads are accurately counted, tagged, and entered to the production report
Follows the stacking arrangement, number of layers, and height requirement for each case size from the Pallet Stacking Manual
Once a pallet is full, calls the stock puller on the paging system to move the pallet
When the pallet is moved, places a new pallet down by the machine
Calculates scrap rate to assure job stays within allowable limits
Communicates well with other team members

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Product Development Manager will work with Operations, Scheduling and Shift Supervisors to schedule the day-to-day tooling shop operations in East, Central and West plants. Focus shall be for new product launch with new tooling, repairs of existing tooling, provide other technical support to the operations from product design, tooling, and trials for new development activities.
Manage the New Product Development and Manufacturing of new tools.
Ensure that all work is done safely and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Prepare tooling estimates, technical data sheets and maintain Smart-Sheet.
Prepare and evaluate Tool layouts.
Work closely with the design team.
Work with Finance for annual budget and weekly / monthly budget tracking.
Coordinate with tooling vendors.
Actively participate in tool design reviews with vendors.
Coordinate with the sales and customers to discuss new tooling requirements.
Maintain effective communication with other departments.
Coordinate tool shipment from one site to other.
Ensures that tooling maintenance is executed in a timely and cost-effective manner internally or through external vendors to maximize production.
Ensure that tool maintenance records and preventative records are maintained.
Work closely with other departments on planning and coordinating activities to utilize downtime best.

Qualifications

Position Summary
The Ink Room Technician is responsible for preparing and mixing ink according to job specifications and color standards, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring quality. Manage ink and coating inventory, ordering as needed.
Ensure buckets from prior shifts are returned and cleaned.
Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ink room equipment.
Crosstrain with Pre-Make Ready Technicians and provide coverage as needed.
Train others on dispenser use and quality checks.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for learning the responsibilities necessary to safely and successfully set up and operate the folder/gluer machine in accordance with the apprentice training plan and learning objectives. Partners with assigned trainer to learn responsibilities of the job and works toward achieving a standard level of proficiency for critical tasks of the role, ensuring high-quality packaging and products are produced at a consistent rate of speed in accordance with machine standards and production goals.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives instruction from trainer and performs duties necessary to reach a standard level of proficiency in the critical responsibilities of the Operator position within the timeframes outlined in the apprenticeship training plan.
Develops knowledge and skill required to operate machine in a safe and consistent manner, while maintaining standard operating procedures; advises Supervisor or trainer of any information regarding the safety or performance issues with the machine or machine crew.
Learns to safely and efficiently start up and stop the machine and make machine adjustments to maintain machine at production and quality standards within target speeds; learns procedures specific to different types of products produced including the precise measurements and alignments necessary and within the allotted time frame specific to the job.
Studies and learns all SCT Quality procedures and standards including required quality checks and procedures, including the various customer specifications and quality standards; actively works with the crew to ensure quality of the product meets all standards and customer specifications with regard to folding, gluing, packaging, labeling, and stacking; identifies scrap defects and notifies Trainer or Supervisor of any discrepancies or areas of concern.
Reviews previous shift's report to determine status of job, any issues with a job or the equipment and production schedule.
Logs productivity and provides comments for each production job in the manufacturing computer system; accurately completes production report and records production data; sets up and uses various scanners as needed.
Regularly observes and assists feeder packers on gluing line to ensure cases are packed to customer specifications including proper count and placement; assists with providing instruction and guides activities of feeder packers when necessary.
Learns to troubleshoot and resolve various issues encountered when running different styles of products or substrates.
Develops skills to diagnose and assist in minor repairs or resolve machine malfunctions.
Reviews and fully understands all preventative maintenance responsibilities of an operator; learns proper procedures to perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance to be performed by operators.
Ensures that finished products with defects are properly scrapped and discarded while consistently following procedures to minimize waste.
Communicates effectively with other team members throughout the shift and at shift change to share critical information necessary to perform the job safely and efficiently; collaborates regularly with Quality Technicians/Supervisor to obtain necessary approvals and to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Actively seeks and adopts new updates and improvements to processes, new procedures, and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation.
Develops knowledge and skill necessary to successfully produce product in a manner that safely keeps down time to a minimum.
Maintains a clean work environment in accordance with Food Safety and 5S program.
Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines; uses situational awareness and actively looks for weak signals to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions; consistently wears appropriate PPE for the task at hand and within the assigned area.
Assists other departments or positions with duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of three months related experience and/or training; must have basic computer skills and possess ability to learn and utilize computer software. Must have mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills. Requires flexibility to move to one of the off shifts (evening) upon successful completion of the training program.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.

**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Product Development Manager will work with Operations, Scheduling and Shift Supervisors to schedule the day-to-day tooling shop operations in East, Central and West plants. Focus shall be for new product launch with new tooling, repairs of existing tooling, provide other technical support to the operations from product design, tooling, and trials for new development activities.
+ Manage the New Product Development and Manufacturing of new tools.
+ Ensure that all work is done safely and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
+ Prepare tooling estimates, technical data sheets and maintain Smart-Sheet.
+ Prepare and evaluate Tool layouts.
+ Work closely with the design team.

**Qualifications**
