Responsibilities
Position is in a hospital operating room setting
Full-time, 12-hour shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm
Includes variable on-call requirements with a 30-minute response time
Assignment length is 13 weeks
Duties include scrubbing and circulating for operative procedures and preparing the operating room for surgeries
Responsible for assembling equipment and ensuring necessary supplies and implants are available
Must adhere to aseptic techniques and consult with team members to assess and deliver intraoperative patient care
Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and the surgical team
Holiday coverage may be required per department needs
Requirements
Active FL or compact RN license with no pending status
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
Minimum of two years' acute care operating room experience in a US hospital required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
BSN highly desired
Must provide two managerial or supervisory references, with at least one from the most recent employer
Must have a valid Social Security Number, driver's license, and be able to provide proof of COVID and flu vaccination if required
CPI certification mandated by position
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates permitted

• Use Cerner (preferred) and specialized documentation systems including BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet
• Equipment includes laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer
• Responsibilities include assessment, documentation, patient and family education, developing home exercise programs, and use of various mobility equipment and devices
• Care for a diverse patient population, including those with complex conditions such as trachs and amputations
• Billable modules and annual training are required and completed pre-start
• Facility is smoke-free
• Return staff policy requires permanent employees to wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Scrub attire in any solid color is acceptable
• All time off requests (RTO) must be arranged with the unit manager on site after contract start
• Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
