Pros of working at Southern Poverty Law Center

It pays well by non-profit standards and has great benefits. The issues it has historically stood for are important.

Cons of working at Southern Poverty Law Center

The CEO is not personally grounded in the work or the staff and is more interested in surrounding herself with loyalits than with competent leaders and issue area experts. The resulting workplace culture is toxic and the investment of the hundreds of thousands of donors is squandered on pet projects
