Performs installation, maintenance and repair of propane and/or oil burning systems, HVAC units, equipment, and appliances for Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) customers. Maintain regular communication with facility leadership regarding daily service dispatching for new installation, repair and maintenance of appliances, systems and related equipment. Safely install and repair propane, oil burning, diesel and/or gasoline systems, equipment, and appliances according to federal and state codes. Calibrate equipment to proper settings. Effectively utilize HVAC, mechanical, electrical, millwright, plumbing, and other specialized skills and the appropriate tools as determined by the job. Read and effectively interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, manuals, engineering specifications, diagrams, meters, gauges, and control panels to perform installations and repair equipment. Gather and analyze information to diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot systems. Represent SSC in a positive manner by providing reliable and prompt service to customers. Communicate in a professional and courteous manner. Provide usage instructions for all equipment and appliances serviced. Review account details, collect payments or provide invoices, and confirm future service with customers. Strive to grow and maintain SSC market share through excellent service and customer referrals. Discuss new equipment sales with current and prospective customers. Conduct site surveys and identify products and equipment to meet capacity needs. Assist customers in making an educated and informed decision by reviewing options and presenting recommendations. Effectively operate Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) commercial motor vehicles in compliance with government regulations and SSC policy. Perform routine maintenance and repair to keep vehicles in good working condition. Depending upon location, may load and deliver supplies of propane and/or other fuels according to standard operating procedures. Handle and lift canisters into truck and/or utilize load hose, meters, gauges, and terminal controls for bulk fuel loading (top load and bottom load). Obtain distribution of fuel from SSC facility or third party terminals. Prepare and maintain invoices, reports, logs, vehicle and equipment maintenance records and other related documents accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner. Maintain complete and up-to-date files on parts manuals, service manuals, and service bulletins. Maintain files on all equipment sold including design, bill of materials, follow-up report, guarantee and warranty cards, and records of service. Ensure that all in-warranty parts are returned to supplier along with proper information in order for location to receive proper credit. Maintain adequate parts inventory. Assist with taking physical inventory of parts, equipment and merchandise. Adhere to inventory control initiatives. May assist with shipping and/or receiving of related products as determined by business need. Effectively utilize forklift and other material handling equipment according to facility procedures. Work Environment
Performs essential job functions in various environments, including: driving a commercial motor vehicle and working at a customer site, outdoors where may not be protected from weather conditions, and in a warehouse environment subject to seasonal temperatures and humidity.

Schedule requirements will vary during peak and off-peak seasons. Responsibilities:
Maintain store equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, petroleum equipment and overall facility in good working order
Troubleshoot, diagnose issues and make repairs to equipment according to established procedures to minimize parts usage.
Complete scheduled and assigned preventative maintenance of all store equipment.
Complete scheduled and assigned washing and cleaning of store's windows.
Communicate issues and provide feedback to the Facility Support Manager regarding maintenance issues, facility/equipment opportunities and outside service vendor performance.
Utilize maintenance work order system to complete repair calls, close completed calls, enter resolutions for calls and update calls according to company policies and procedures. Complete assigned work by required deadline. Respond to high priority calls according to company guidelines.
Maintain fully stocked inventory and be accountable for all aspects of assigned inventory; assist in monitoring and control of maintenance inventory. Requisition parts necessary to complete the job. Provide technical information to ordering team ensuring proper delivery and ordering of all non-stock parts.
Attend and participate in all work related meetings, scheduled inventories and training classes. Maintain all certifications as required by manufacturers and local/state/federal law.
Maintain company vehicle and adhere to all state/local/federal laws and company policies regarding operation and maintenance of company vehicle.

Qualifications:

• No experience required with skilled trade or apprenticeship completion certificate

Licenses/Certifications
• Valid Driver's license required

Job Duties

**Responsibilities**

JOB SUMMARY
A Service Technician is the front line and point person for our brand to the rider and encourages successful, profitable retail by taking their technical expertise to the next level as a driver of outstanding in store brand experiences. Develops and maintains knowledge expertise of all merchandise in department to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introduced.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues with crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and other plant systems.
Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and other plant components as needed.
Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and structures.
Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components.
Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks.
Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
Participate in daily safety meetings and communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
Required Qualifications:
Must have dedication to safe work practices
Previous maintenance experience
Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
Must be willing to work a regular 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. shift
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs with efficiency and accuracy
Complete used vehicle inspections and identify reconditioning needs
Provide time/labor estimates for additional repairs
Stay current with new automotive technology through factory-sponsored training
Maintain detailed repair documentation and uphold quality control standards
Inspect and test vehicles to ensure proper repair
Requirements:
1 or more years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic required
We welcome Service Techs, Line Tech, Diagnostic Specialists, and Master Techs from all brands!
ASE certifications are preferred but not required
Hold a valid drivers license
Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
