The Wadley Campus of Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) is
not only home to degrees and career training but to SUSCC's cultural and
student life. Located in Wadley, Alabama, SUSCC has two additional Randolph County
campuses. All of SUSCC's campuses offer associate's degrees and
certificates leading to such careers as Nursing, Early Childhood
Education, Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design, Emergency
Medical Services, Cosmetology, Welding, Automotive Repair and numerous
other fields. Pre-professional degrees such as Pre-Architecture, Pre-Engineering,
Pre-Forestry, Pre-Law, Pre-Music Therapy and Pre-Social Work may also be
found at SUSCC. Students may also pursue an associate's degree leading to
four-year university transfer. The Wadley campus of SUSCC is unique in that students may also
participate in a vibrant fine arts department. Wadley offers degrees and
courses in music, theatre and an award-winning dance program. In addition
to performing at school functions and throughout the community, students
may take a trip to New York City, where they attend a Carnegie Hall
performance and take professional performing arts workshops. Wadley also hosts a competition every year. Students compete in nine
areas including poetry, art, theatre, music, dance and speech. Wadley is also the only campus in the SUSCC system to offer campus
housing, which also helps to enrich the student life experience. Outstanding athletics also make their home at the Wadley campus. Student services, which may be found at all campuses, include academic
advising, career services and special needs counseling among others. Financial aid is awarded to eligible students based on financial and
academic eligibility and might include grants, work-study, scholarships
