The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of mechanical piping systems and a proven track record of managing successful commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise pipefitting crews on commercial building services projects. Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet project deadlines. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installations. Oversee installation, assembly, and repair of piping systems, including HVAC, chilled water, steam, hot water, and process piping. Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and OSHA safety regulations. Conduct quality control inspections to verify accuracy and craftsmanship of work performed. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve job site issues. Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices, promoting skill development and teamwork. Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and material usage logs. Primary responsibility is to assist a design manager or project manager to successfully coordinate a project using the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services.
