About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter specializing in Factoring/ABL to join our growing team. This role is critical in evaluating, structuring, and approving credit facilities for small to mid-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will bring deep a knowledge of Factoring with the ability to balance credit risk with business growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Underwriting & Credit Analysis
Lead the underwriting process for Factoring/ABL credit facilities, from initial assessment through final approval.
Conduct in-depth analysis of client and account debtor financials, cash flow trends, debt levels, and liquidity to determine repayment capacity.
Evaluate collateral quality, with an emphasis on accounts receivable verification, debtor concentrations, and invoice aging reports.
Risk Assessment & Structuring
Identify potential risks, including credit, operational, legal, and fraud-related risks, and recommend appropriate mitigants.
Structure facilities in alignment with company credit policies, capital requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Recommend advance rates, reserves, and concentration limits based on client profile and collateral quality.
Credit Memo Preparation & Presentation
Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda that clearly outline client strengths, weaknesses, and risk factors.
Present and defend underwriting recommendations to the Credit Committee, senior management, and executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with the Sales team to structure competitive yet risk-appropriate proposals.
Work closely with legal counsel to ensure loan documents, factoring agreements, and collateral filings are accurate and enforceable.
Support operations and account management teams during onboarding to ensure smooth client transitions.
Portfolio Management & Monitoring
Provide ongoing oversight of approved facilities, monitoring client performance against projections and covenants.
Analyze trends in client AR quality and debtor payment performance.
Recommend facility modifications, risk rating changes or exit strategies as needed.
Mentorship & Leadership
Provide training, guidance, and coaching to junior underwriters and analysts.
Help standardize underwriting best practices, credit risk frameworks, and approval processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit & Risk department.
Market & Industry Insight
Stay informed on economic conditions, industry trends, and competitive practices impacting factoring.
Leverage industry knowledge to anticipate risks and identify new underwriting opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
10+ years of underwriting experience in, factoring, or commercial finance.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
In-depth knowledge of UCC filings, lien searches, and collateral documentation.
Proven ability to assess risk and structure transactions within policy and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to executives and committees.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Commercial Debt Collector to join our team. This role is a senior-level individual contributor position responsible for driving the recovery of delinquent, high-value commercial accounts, including facilities secured by Asset-Based Lending (ABL) and Factoring structures. The position requires a professional who is assertive, persistent, and highly skilled in the enforcement of loan agreements, collateral recovery, and repayment negotiation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets, reducing credit losses, and maximizing recoveries through direct action and enforcement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of delinquent commercial accounts, including those backed by ABL facilities, with a focus on high-value and complex recoveries.
Execute aggressive and persistent collection efforts, enforcing repayment obligations under loan agreements.
Escalate accounts to litigation, receivership, foreclosure, or collateral liquidation when voluntary repayment cannot be secured.
Review and analyze borrowing base certificates, collateral positions, covenant compliance, and financial performance to inform recovery strategies.

Qualifications
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial debt collection or loan recovery, with direct involvement in ABL and Factoring backed lending facilities.
Strong understanding of asset-based lending structures, borrowing base analysis, collateral monitoring, and UCC Article 9 enforcement.
Proven success in recovering high-value, complex, and disputed accounts through aggressive negotiation and enforcement.
Experience coordinating with legal counsel on litigation, receivership, or collateral liquidation strategies.
Assertive, persistent, and results-driven with excellent conflict resolution skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare precise enforcement documentation and executive-level reporting.

Model Validation COE - The candidate is expected to draw experience from validation to establish a validation center of excellence and support the model governance lead to drive best practice, specifically the objectives of the COE are:
GEN AI Model Risk Management: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, end-to-end governance framework for Generative AI models, establishing clear standards, procedures, documentation templates, and process to effectively manage model risks such as hallucination, accuracy, and bias. This framework will enable the organization to consistently monitor and control these critical aspects throughout the model lifecycle, ensuring reliable and trustworthy AI outputs with disciplined and transparent oversight.
Quality assurance and Capacity Planning: Establish and maintain a quality assurance process to thoroughly review and assess validation practices. Proactively challenge the status quo to identify gaps or improvement opportunities in validation efforts. Provide guidance on best practices, support capacity planning, and collaborate with the Model Governance team to recommend and implement enhancements that strengthen the overall validation framework.
Strategy & Innovation: Serve as an incubation center to explore, test, and implement innovative approaches-leveraging Generative AI capabilities-to accelerate and improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of model validation processes.
Professional Practice: Support the Model Governance team to improve 1LOD model owner experience and bring value focused validation practice.
Model Validation:

Qualifications/Requirements:

**Job Description:**
This job is responsible for managing the end-to-end consumer mortgage referral requests primarily for Low to Moderate Income (LMI) clients in underserved markets. Key responsibilities include connecting with internal and external centers of influence (i.e. financial center partners, realtors, etc.) to originate mortgage transactions, identifying relationship deepening opportunities with clients, and facilitating the loan process from application to close. Job expectations include providing home buyer education via workshops and contacting with clients and partners virtually or in-person.
