Work-based learning for medical, industrial and other fields is one of
the benefits of an education at Southwest Mississippi Community College
(SMCC) in Summit, Mississippi. Career training at SMCC is offered in such fields as Automotive
Technology, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Health Information Technology,
Practical Nursing and Web Development. Students in these and other professional training programs have the
option to take an internship in their particular field in order to gain
